what do BUTTERFLY WARRIORS do, exactly?

make new friends & have lots of wonderful & messy fun!
we make our own art journal,
& tons of other amazing & super-duper fun projects.
we cover important topics like:
self-esteem,
friendships,
confidence,
being ourselves
& more...

~ all of this, we discover, through our own magic & creativity!

this art class is different from other 'art classes' out there~
for many reasons.
the main difference is that this is not a 'technique' class.
although, we will be learning many fun techniques,
we will not be learning to draw or paint the same thing.

this is not a class where the girls will "follow the leader".

and magical!

...self-esteem tools that they can take out into the world
& use in their own little lives!

Class size is kept small & intimate ~ to give me lots of 1 on 1 time with each girl. Registration will be on a first come, first served basis.

My 11 year old daughter Isabel has been an art student of Erica Aubin's for the past 4 years. Not only is Erica a talented and inspirational artist, she is excellent at sharing her knowledge and passion for art with her students! Art class and art camps with Erica have given Isabel an outlook on life that most of her peers do not possess; she has given Isabel the tools to express what she sees and feels through a painting, a sketch or a sculpture in art class (and outside of class as well). I also must confess that I am a huge fan of Erica's art. My home looks like a miniature art gallery of her paintings, and pottery! Thank you for considering her for this award. Sincerely,

My daughter has been attending Erica Aubin's, Butterfly Warrior's program for some time now. We chose to enrol her in this program after hearing wonderful stories from other little girls we know. The little girl's eyes would light up when they talked about it to Karrina and she begged to be allowed to go. After spending time with Erica our daughter wanted nothing more than to be an Artist when she grows up, she asked Santa for a professional art kit for Christmas to start her off on her career. Karrina looks forward to her Monday classes and counts down sleeps until the next one. When picking her up all the little girls are so proud to show off their new creations, and enthusiastic about the "homework" assigned. I see pride in my daughter that she has found something that she truly loves that is unique to her. Erica encourages the girls to write or communicate through their art, their feelings and love for themselves. She gives them a place that they can be true to themselves and proud to be who they are. I have been trying to find something that my daughter would love to do and allow her to express little developing personality. Finally with this program we have found something that offers all of this and more. Each class ends with hugs and cheek kisses from Erica making the girls feel special and loved. I would recommend this program to any parent or grandparent looking for a self esteem building activity for their children that teaches lifelong lessons of love, friendship through art. Erica is a great role model and inspiration for these budding young artists.
